Spas, Waders & Pods
A spa, wader or pod to complement your pool
A spa, wader or immersion pod transforms any backyard. Add a spa to relax and unwind, a wader to create a shallow lounging zone for sun and play, or an immersion pod for hot-and-cold contrast therapy — joined to your pool or kept as a separate body of water, all in matching Compass colours.
What makes the Spas, Waders & Pods different
Change the shape and function of your backyard with a spa, wader or immersion pod. Choose from two X-Trainer spa options for a warm, relaxing soak. Add a wader — a shallow zone perfect for relaxing in the sun and for children to play safely — or an immersion pod for serious hot-and-cold recovery.
Treat any of them as a separate body of water, or order a customised design that joins the two together as one flowing space. A wader is also the secret behind a striking infinity-edge look, and you can match your spa or wader to your pool with any Bi-Luminite or Vivid colour. Every spa, wader and pod is fibreglass — not acrylic — so it handles Central Queensland sun year-round without the damage acrylic spas can suffer, and carries the same colour and warranty benefits as a Compass pool.
“A spa or pod is the single most-added element after the pool itself. If there's any chance you'd use one, pair it up front — it's always cheaper than retrofitting later.”
— Trent and the Gen2 Pools team
A spa, wader or immersion pod transforms any backyard — on its own or paired with your Compass pool. Add a spa to relax and unwind, a wader to create a shallow lounging zone for sun and play, or an immersion pod for hot-and-cold contrast therapy.

Spas, Waders & Pods — questions answered
What Central Queensland pool buyers most commonly ask us about Spas, Waders & Pods.
What's the difference between a spa and a wader?
A spa is a warm, jetted body of water for relaxing hydrotherapy — choose the X-Trainer or the larger X-Trainer XL. A wader is a shallow (30cm) lounging zone, perfect for relaxing in the sun or for children to play safely, and it's also the secret behind a striking infinity-edge look.
Can I join the spa to my pool, or keep it separate?
Either. You can treat your spa or wader as a separate body of water, or order a customised design that joins the two together as one flowing space — often with a raised spa and a spillway that flows into the pool.
What size are the spas, waders and pods?
The X-Trainer Spa is 2.8m × 1.8m and the X-Trainer XL Spa is 3.4m × 1.8m (both 1.1m deep). The 3.1 Wader is 3.06m × 1.96m at around 30cm deep. The Immersion Therapy Pod is a two-person pod around 2.1m × 1.35m × 0.95m deep. Dimensions are approximate and may vary by configuration — we'll confirm exact specs at your free on-site visit.
Are the spas fibreglass or acrylic?
Our spas and waders are fibreglass, not acrylic — so they can handle Central Queensland sun year-round without the damage acrylic spas can suffer, and they carry the same colour and warranty benefits as a Compass pool.
Can I match the spa colour to my pool?
Yes — match your spa or wader to your pool with any of the 9 exclusive Bi-Luminite 3D colours or the 5 vibrant Vivid finishes, so the two read as one cohesive design.
What about hot & cold contrast therapy?
The Immersion Therapy Pod is a two-person pod that heats to 38°C for a warm soak or chills to a brisk 5°C for a cold plunge. It pairs beautifully with your main pool as the ultimate wellness combo, and works standalone if you don't have a pool yet.
Can I add the Vantage self-cleaning system to the spa?
Yes — when the spa is joined to your pool via a spillway or as part of a combo shell, the Vantage in-floor cleaning system covers both bodies of water as one integrated cleaning zone. Standalone spas run on their own filtration.
How long does an immersion pod take to heat up or chill down?
The pod uses separate heating and chilling systems. Heating from ambient to 38°C typically takes 30–45 minutes. Cooling to 5°C takes longer (several hours from ambient), so most owners set it to hold cold ready for morning contrast sessions rather than chilling on demand.
