A pool that works for the way you actually live
The Plunge range is Compass's catalogue of small fibreglass pools — a family of shapes purpose-built for compact blocks where a full family pool won't fit. It's not one shape, it's four sub-ranges: Plunge, Relax, Refresh and Oasis. Sizes span from 2.85m up to 7.03m.
That range matters because "small pool" means different things across Central Queensland. A Rockhampton townhouse courtyard needs the 2.85m Plunge or 3.85m Plunge. A Yeppoon holiday-let uses the Refresh 6.1 (uniform 1.42m depth, great for a cooling dip) or Oasis 7.0 for differentiation. A CQ downsizer moving to Norman Gardens is often looking at the Plunge 5.0 (with a variable-depth floor) or Relax 6.3 (uniform 1.36m depth) — small enough to be low-maintenance, big enough to actually swim.

The Plunge range in Central Queensland
Compact pool installs have grown fast across our region. CQ downsizers moving to newer townhouse or courtyard builds want a proper pool but not a full family pool. Yeppoon and Capricorn Coast holiday-let owners are installing Refresh 6.1 and Oasis 7.0 sizes specifically to differentiate their property. And older Rockhampton character blocks — Berserker, Depot Hill, Allenstown — often have tight yards that suit the Plunge range perfectly.
Most common configurations locally: Plunge 5.0 for cooling-off pools, Refresh 6.1 for modern townhouse courtyards, Oasis 7.0 for downsizer builds where the pool still needs to feel like a real pool. The smallest sizes (Plunge 2.8 and 3.8) suit apartment courtyards and are more common in higher-density coastal developments.
Worth noting: Plunge range pools carry the full 25-year Compass structural warranty. The compact size doesn’t compromise the ceramic-core construction — same shell technology, just a smaller footprint.

Real Pool Depth
Even the compact 2.85m Plunge has 1.2m depth — proper swimming depth, not a paddling pool. The Plunge 6.2 goes to 1.7m at the deep end. Oasis and Plunge shapes have variable-depth floors; Relax and Refresh are uniform-depth.
Cooling-Off Focus
In CQ climate a compact pool that's just for cooling off (not swimming laps) makes real sense. The uniform-depth Refresh and Relax shapes are designed exactly for that use case.

What's the difference between Plunge, Relax, Refresh and Oasis?
They're all sub-ranges of the compact pool family. Plunge (2.85m–6.2m) has a variable-depth floor from shallow to deep. Relax (4.0m–6.3m) is uniform 1.36m depth end to end — designed for cooling off, not lap swimming. Refresh (6.0m + 6.1m Max) is the contemporary sub-range with uniform 1.42m or 1.46m depth. Oasis (6.03m and 7.03m) is the largest — variable-depth floor from 1.18m shallow to 1.65–1.74m deep, the crossover into "small family pool" territory.
What size Plunge fits my block?
Depends on the block. As a rule: townhouse or apartment courtyards → Plunge 2.85 or 3.85. Older suburban character blocks → Plunge 5.0 or 6.2. Modern courtyards or downsizer builds → Refresh 6.1 or Oasis 6.0/7.0. A free site visit gets you a real answer.
Are the Plunge pools deep enough to swim in?
The bigger sizes (Plunge 5.0 at 1.65m and Plunge 6.2 at 1.7m at the deep end, plus Oasis 7.0 at 1.74m) are — enough depth for a proper cool-off swim. The 2.85 and 3.85 sizes are more "cooling off / dip" than "swimming laps".
What's the difference between Refresh 6.1 and Refresh 6.1 Max?
Same length (6.0–6.1m) but the Max is wider (2.97m vs 2.4m) and deeper (uniform 1.46m vs 1.42m). The Max is the family-scale Refresh; the standard 6.1 is the tighter-footprint version for courtyards.
Can I add a spa to a Plunge?
Yes, though it's less common than with the bigger shapes — often when someone wants a spa combo in a compact yard, we'll spec the Plunge + spa combo layout. Discuss on the site visit.
Is Vantage self-cleaning available on Plunge?
On the larger Plunge sizes (5.0 and up) and the Oasis, yes. The smaller 2.85 and 3.85 are too small to fit the Vantage nozzle count effectively — for those we recommend a good robotic cleaner instead.
Is a Plunge good as a holiday-let differentiator?
Yes — Yeppoon and Capricorn Coast holiday-let owners increasingly install a Refresh 6.1 Max or Oasis 7.0 specifically because it lifts the property out of the "same as every other rental" bracket.
Which small-pool sub-range suits a courtyard install?
